Department of Pharmaceutics
Graduate Programs Admission Requirements
The Department of Pharmaceutics in the School of Pharmacy
offers graduate study leading to the degrees of Master
of Science and Doctor
of Philosophy in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Admission to our graduate program is a selective process
and targeted towards specific research groups.
Applicants are reviewed and ranked on certain selection
criteria, including academic performance, class rank
during undergraduate education, advanced degrees, research
experience (either work related or through formal education),
GRE scores (close attention is paid to the percentile
scores in all three categories, verbal, analytical and
quantitative), TOEFL scores and candidate interviews.
No single criteria is given priority, the application
is evaluated based on overall strengths. Applicants
are encouraged to provide additional information beyond
the criteria mentioned above if they feel that such
information might strengthen their application.
Students are strongly encouraged to review the different
research areas in the Department
and identify an area of interest. The student should
justify in their Personal Statement their reasons for
selecting the specifc research area.
