VCU Graduate Application Process
The Department of Pharmaceutics in the School of Pharmacy offers graduate study leading to the degrees of Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmaceutical Sciences.

We have a rolling admission policy.
Upon completion of the Graduate School application, submission of GRE and TOEFL (foreign students only) scores, transcripts and recommendation letters, application packages are sent to the School of Pharmacy for admission decisions.
Admission to our graduate program is a selective process and targeted towards specific research groups. Applicants are reviewed and ranked on certain selection criteria:
No single criteria is given priority, the application is evaluated based on overall strengths. Applicants are encouraged to provide additional information beyond the criteria mentioned above if they feel that such information might strengthen their application.
Students are strongly encouraged to review the different research areas in the Department and identify an area of interest. The student should justify in their Personal Statement their reasons for selecting the specific research area.
