Graduate student organizations within the Department of Pharmaceutics provide a voice to student leaders and an opportunity to take on leadership roles within the university and greater community. The student leaders strive to improve recruitment, professional growth, and graduate student life.


Pharmaceutics Graduate Student Association

The objective of the Department of Pharmaceutics Graduate Student Organization is to encourage students to become actively involved within the VCU School of Pharmacy and to foster leadership and service to the community.

Mission

    • GSA provides a forum to foster meaningful/position relationships amongst students, faculty, administration and alumni
    • Represents all credential, master's and doctoral students in the Department of Pharmaceutics
    • Examines, formulates and implements programs, activities and events that will improve the educational experience of credential, master's and doctoral students, in conjunction with faculty and administration

Pharmaceutical Engineering Graduate Student Association

The objective of the Pharmaceutical Engineering Graduate Student Association is to encourage students to become actively involved within VCU Schools of Pharmacy and Engineering and to foster leadership and service to the community.

Mission

    • Inspire students to engage in causes that promote VCU's mission
    • Cultivate leaders and provide service to our community
    • Develop a strong community spirit among students, faculty and alumni
    • Educate in the area of pharmaceutical engineering and sciences
    • Promote events that will enhance the students' scholarly, entrepreneurial and professional development experience

The American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists student chapter enhances the career development of graduate students by hosting scientific and career oriented seminars and providing social and networking opportunities.
