School of Pharmacy PDA Initiative


Palm T|X

We are pleased to provide 2nd year pharmacy students with Palm T|X personal digital assistants (PDAs) and Lexi-Comp OnHand. Providing students with drug information resources and a personal digital assistant will allow them the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the technology and the various resources that are available to support clinical decision making. The use of personal digital assistants within the curriculum will enhance student learning and organization as well as prepare students to be more competitive in a technology-driven workplace.

  • Memory: 128MB*

*Actual storage capacity available to user is 100MB

  • File transfer with Documents To Go® - Drag-and-drop files and folders from your desktop to your handheld and back again.
  • Use as a USB drive.2 Access your work or transfer files into another computer (host computer must support standard USB removable drive and the application of the file)
  • Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® 1.1 wireless to sync, check email, send text messages, and connect to the Internet (Requires a compatible Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone, data plan, and ISP)

A draft copy of the Pharmacy Student PDA Resources List identifies a few of the resources that have been identified that may be helpful to the students with your courses. Please feel free to provide Brian Canaday with any information on Pocket PC resources that you are fond of and would like to have added to this list.
