Brian leads the Pharmacy Technology Team (Phartech) and is responsible for all long term technological objectives and goals for the School of Pharmacy. He works closely with each Phartech staff member to determine project plans and priorities and is responsible for making sure projects are implemented by their respective completion dates. Brian also works closely with faculty members on various committees to determine the academic technology needs of the School. He also serves on the University Technology committee which helps determine technological objectives, policies and procedures institution wide. Brian’s background is in application and database development with an emphasis on web programming. Brian has 9 years of experience in the Information Technology sector and has a Master of Science in Information Systems.

An Information Technology Analyst specializing in network services and computer desktop support. My responsibility as a member of VCU SOP (School of Pharmacy) Academic Technology Group (Phartech) is to assist with procurement, manager all network related activities and help track and maintain computer technology equipment inventory.

Romano is an Information Technology Analyst with over 18 year experience in the Information Technology field. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems from Virginia State University. He is a Dell Certified Professional and a Microsoft Certified Professional. His area of focus is Systems Support. Romano also researches Open Source technologies for possible implementation and system integration.

Gary King Gary L. King

Gary specializes in the development and maintenance of web and database applications. He has over twenty years experience in information technology. Gary also has a strong interest in photography and produced many of the images for the new web site.

Brandon D. Pennell Brandon D. Pennell

Brandon provides Desktop and PDA support for faculty, staff and students. He assists in administering faculty computers. He also provides seconday support to the development to the VCU School of Pharmacy website. Brandon researches and documents security software to be implemented in order to protect student and faculty data.


Sidney Andrews Sidney L. Andrews
Student Technology Assistant

Sidney provides support for web applications and assists in developing new applications. He is a software developer with experience using C#, SQL, Java, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, AJAX & Other miscellaneous technologies. He currently researches new technologies (WPF, Silverlight, etc.) that will benefit application development.
