Kidney Foundation

KEEP

Description: At the Kidney Early Evaluation Program health screenings, SNPhA members work with clinicams, nurses, social workers and other volunteers to provide a comprehensive screening to patients who may otherwise not get this health opportunity. Screenings include blood pressure, height, weight, BMI, urinalysis and glucose testing.

Additionally, 3 vials of blood are drawn from patients to test cholesterol, serum creatinine levels and to check for anemia.  On-site physicians discussed medical results with the participants, and SNPhA members were on-hand to counsel on medications when needed.  This is an amazing opportunity for interdisciplinary health care collaboration and SNPhA members enjoyed the experience!
