14th Annual Pharmacy Scholarship Golf Classic a Huge Success

The School of Pharmacy is pleased to report the success of the 14th annual Pharmacy Scholarship Golf Classic. The tournament took place on a (mostly) sunny Thursday, Oct. 5 at Hunting Hawk Golf Club in Glen Allen, Va.

This tournament, which has become a tradition among Virginia pharmacists, VCU School of Pharmacy students and alumni, raises money for pharmacy student scholarships. The Pharmacy Scholarship Fund provides tuition assistance to students who have demonstrated academic excellence or have significant financial need. This year, 18 teams of alumni, students and corporate representatives joined together to raise over $18,000.

The team of Tommy Thompson, P'80, Pete Taylor, P'79, Roger Weakly, P'71, and friend of the School, Mike Jones, won for the second year in a row. Congratulations!
