News @ VCU School of Pharmacy
Hello, goodbye: new building manager
Like Elvis – only in a much more positive way – Adam Butler has left the building.
In late February, Butler vacated the fish-bowl office in the Dean’s Suite in Smith to become a contract specialist for Defense Supply Center Richmond.
In early March, Scott Crenshaw moved into the fish bowl, as well as into the position of building manager and administrative support specialist. His is a familiar face, given that he formerly served as School of Pharmacy office service aide.
Filling Crenshaw’s previous position is Cristy Davis, who has worked in several offices while attending VCU. Her duties include mail delivery and pick-up.
Laura Georgiadis, office manager for the Department of Pharmaceutics, said, “Scott has been a big help over the past year and he has transformed the OSA position. We wish him well in his new endeavor and continued success in his graduate studies at VCU.”
So what does the SOP building manager do? His new job, Crenshaw said, includes helping out with anything you might expect a building manager to do – “keys, surplus, maintenance, HVAC, access control, etc.” – as well as providing administrative support to various members of the Dean’s Office.
Congratulations to Scott Crenshaw, Cristy Davis (and Adam Butler, as well!) on their new positions.
