White Coat Ceremony 2009
The School of Pharmacy’s newest P1 class, consisting of 130 students, officially became student pharmacists at the Aug. 22 White Coat Ceremony at Greater Richmond Convention Center. The ceremony was preceded by an open house in the R. Blackwell Smith Jr. Building and concluded with a reception in the convention center … as well as a (false) fire alarm that interrupted but did not stop the Oath of a Pharmacy Student recitation.
Semiformal 2008
School of Pharmacy students kicked up their heels (and perhaps tried the Charleston?) at the 1920s-themed semiformal Nov. 14
at the Renaissance Conference Center in downtown Richmond. Music was provided by DJs and the school’s own flapper-for-a-night
Melissa Hetzler, who also served as unofficial
photo companion. (See photos for proof!) A good time, as they say, was had by all.
